This tie down, suitable for example for a Vinten heavyweight tripod, comprises three hooks at the upper end (which fasten to the tops of the tripod legs) connected to a rigging screw and chain, terminating in a lose link and eye plate. Coarse adjustment is made by hooking an appropriate chain link to the rigging screw, and tension is then applied by the rigging screw

This very simple and robust tripod base, well suited to heavyweight tripods, comprises a
stainless steel flat equilateral triangle, with a socket and rubber hold down strap at
each apex.
It collapses flat, and is held open or closed by a spring retainer on a chain.
